Joy to the World ornaments are among the finest and most detailed collectibles on the market. The designers make sure that each piece goes through a long detailed process so that all ornaments are worthy of the Joy to the World name. First, a scultor makes a three-dimensional sculpture and is used to make a metal mold. This metal mold is then poured into a sand cast where where the metal mold is created. Next step is the glass blowing process, which through a complicated process of opening the mold and blowing air, the ornament starts taking shape. After that, it is sent to a special room where they inject chemicals and dip the ornaments in a hot bath. Once all that is done, ornaments are sent to the painting room where it is all applied by hand. This process takes approximately seven days!
