How do I return an item?

Return Policy

We want you to be fully satisfied with every item that you purchase from The
Daily Pet. If any website purchase fails to meet your expectations, contact
Customer Service at info@thedailypet.com for a Return Authorization
number and simply return your merchandise to us in its original and unused
condition within 20 business days of receipt for a full merchandise exchange
or store credit, minus the shipping, handling, gift wrap or other charges.

The returned item must be returned in good condition, with a return
authorization number, in original packaging (whenever possible) and with all
paperwork, parts and accessories to ensure credit. All sale, seasonal,
personalized, custom and perishable merchandise are final sale and cannot be
exchanged or returned. The Daily Pet reserves the right to refuse any return
at our discretion.

Store Credit Only

TheDailyPet does not issue refunds, cannot accept returns or exchanges for
custom orders, and we cannot accept returns COD. We do not reimburse
shipping charges.

Store credits are valid for one year from the issue date and can be used for
store or website purchases.


How do I use my credit?

You may redeem your credit within one year of the issue date by entering
your credit code in the "Coupon Gift Code" field during checkout for
your next order.


Return Instructions

All returns and exchanges require the issuance of a Return Authorization
number. All Return Authorization number requests must be made within 15
business days of receiving merchandise. To obtain a Return Authorization
number, please email info@thedailypet.com or call 1-858-2065 with the
following information:

  • Contact name and phone number
  • Date of purchase
  • Original invoice or sales receipt
  • Exact item and quantity to be returned
  • Reason for return
  • The return address and shipping instructions will be provided via email or
    phone conversation at time of Return Authorization number request.
  • Please securely repack merchandise in the original shipping box or other
    packaging that will protect merchandise from damage during shipping.

In large, bold print, clearly mark the Return Authorization number on the
two outside panels of the box.

IMPORTANT: The Daily Pet will not accept any packages returned to our store
without an approved Return Authorization number.

Be sure to retain your shipping information and receipt for tracking
purposes to ensure that the package is returned to the warehouse.

The Daily Pet cannot be responsible for packages lost or damaged during
return shipping.

Return & Credit Processing Time

The Daily Pet will make every effort to process your return for a credit at
www.TheDailyPet.com for the dollar amount of merchandise originally
purchased, within 20 business days. Any item returned after 20 business days
from purchase will be subject to a 20% restocking fee. After 90 days from
purchase, no returns will be accepted.

Returning an Oversized Item

We cover shipping charges on returned Oversized Items only if the item
arrives at the designated shipping address defective, incorrect or damaged.
We do not cover shipping charges on Oversized Items that are returned due to
"buyer remorse."

Please note: Shipping charges can be expensive for Oversized Items.

Follow these steps to return an Oversized Item:

The item(s) must be unassembled and packaged securely. If possible, please
package item(s) in original package.

Enclose one copy of the packing list with the item. Be sure to keep one copy
of the packing list for your records.

Contact a Customer Service representative to receive instructions on
arranging for a freight delivery company to pick-up your item(s). Please
have your order number available when you call.

You must be home at the time of pick-up and the item(s) must be at the door
for the freight driver.
